more work than I thought... =P~
Hi all, and welcome to Scott and my wedsite (WEDding webSITE... get it =P). I started setting this up a couple of weeks ago after we finally started making real plans about our wedding. The site is powered by Movable Type - 'a decentralized, web-based personal publishing system designed to ease maintenance of regularly updated news or journal sites, like weblogs.' (or in my case a wedlog... There's that pun again :-))
Anyway, setting up Movable Type was fairly easy, it was just the customisation that has taken me so long (well, two weeks). I wanted the site to have a nice lovey kind of feeling as well as have a cool CSS tableless layout (don't worry if you don't understand what that means, it's a web geek thing ;-) Well, designing the look and feel and then coding it took a couple weeks (part-time - I work for a living =P) so it's just now that I'm finally able to get into writing some quality (?) content.
I actually wrote a nice long post the first night I set up Movable Type but somehow the server timed out or something and I lost it all :-( It was all about why Scott and I aren't married already and what plans we had made so far and stuff... I tried writing it again but it didn't sound the same so I decided to leave it unsaid =P~ Nah, I'll prolly post something similar in the 'About us' section some time in the future.
